Today I received postcards from my friend Titish in Yogyakarta. Thank you thank you thank you soo much They are blank postcards, to be sent later to some frengers somewhere in this world via Postcrossing. Actually the deal was to postcards swap, but unfortunately I haven’t sent my postcards to her. Oh I feel so bad! It’s just I haven’t got the chance to go to the post office to post it. Not that I super busy or something.. but the post office only open till around 1 pm and I couldn’t make it. I’m really sorry Titish, but I promise you I will send them soon!
Here are the postcards. They are lovely and what makes them more special is they were printed on recycled paper! Woohoo!

I think I’ve read Dian Sastro wrote similar thing in Gadis Magazine long time ago. She wrote how she finally loved her boyfriend (at the time)’s favorite band. And isn’t it always happen? When we have a crush on someone, we tend to have a crush with people whom we share many personal interest. But ofcourse it won’t be 100% the same. So we start to read the book he reads, start to watch the movie he watches, start to listen the music he listens to, and start to enjoy his hobby too (or even just watching him doing it).
Not that I encourage you to have boyfriend more than 1, no :P. But you know, majority people don’t end up with their first love, and have to deal with many broken hearts before finally find “the one”. It hurts. But if we look at the bright side, we have more references, interests, point of views, and experiences.
Of course not just only with boyfriend but with friends, or frengers as I love to call it. We tend to make friends with people who has something in common with us. Try to make friend with as many people as possible, open yourself to frengers, well I know sometimes we’ll end up having arguments coz we don’t agree on many things, but you will surprise on how many new things you’ll discover.
Having wide range of interests make it possible to you to communicate with different kinds of people. You can talk about anything everything. That’s my definiton about smart, it’s not just about IQ. And you will never ever be a boring person because you can only talk about one thing you love (especially if it’s so girly that guys won’t catch up with :P).

Wanted to watch 2012 but the tickets were sold out!!! Tomorrow I will go to the cinema in the morning to buy for the evening show, ha!
Talking about 2012 end of the world prophecy (err ok not really), lately there’s a hoax spreading in my country esp in my city Bandung, that Pasupati flyover in Bandung will collapse, yesterday or today (Nov 14). The hoax said it’s a prophecy from a famous clairvoyant in my country, Mama Lauren. Oh puh-leeeeeeeez.. I don’t believe such hoax!
And here it is, Nov 14 2009. Nothing happened. As I don’t believe the 2012-is-the-end-of-the-world either.

My boyfriend insists that I have to make plan B. Yeah I don’t have one. I know, it’s quite risky. What if I failed the plan A? What if I don’t get what I want? Deep down inside I know I have to anticipate, but I don’t think it’s not the time yet to be worry. If I don’t get it, then I will make plan B. But for now I just keep on focusing to pursue that plan A. I believe in power of mind and I will work hard to achieve it!
It’s not wrong to be an idealist, right? I know what I want in life. I have a passion and I want to live it. I read somewhere that only 10% people in this world who really loves their jobs. Well I don’t want to be that 90% who only work for money but hates it so much. Not that I’m willing to work for free, but I think happiness is doing what you love and love what you do right? I want to make money from doing something that I love.
Wish me luck

I’m not a fan of Michael Jackson and didn’t grief his death, although of course I felt sympathy and loss for a music legend. At first I had no interest to watch this movie, but this evening my dad –who always been a fan- asked me to, so I thought why not.
Surprisingly, I really enjoyed the movie! And what I don’t realize is I know all of the songs played in the movie (but they’re the popular ones, right). I mean, I don’t have them in my playlist. But my dad plays them a lot, so I think the songs unconsciously stuck in my head. I remember a quote from Sliding Doors like this :
Everybody’s born knowing all the Beatles lyrics instinctively. They’re passed into the fetus subconsciously along with all the amniotic stuff. They should be called “The Fetals”.
And yeah it happens to me because my dad is huge fan of The Beatles and he plays them a lot at home.
For two hours, I held myself not to stand and clap my hands and dance hahahaha.. it felt like I was in a concert, and I always let loose in one. I wonder if anyone felt the same way, I checked on another people but no one dancing, they just sat there.. I know, however it’s a theater not a concert.. duh.. But I moved my head&body&hands.. just a little bit :P. And oh! I cried during The Earth Song
I’m sooooo amazed by the concert preparation. How each song is being prepared perfectly through the details.. oh my. The movie really teases me as someone who always secretly want to be a dancer since I was a child. Suddenly I want to be a dancer again, hehe, is it too late to learn right now? And second is, being a “behind the scene” person (I had several times work for an event organizer, and participated in a few gigs/concerts), I drooled, thinking when can I make an amazing concert like that. Genius.
I think I’m gonna watch it again for the second time, next time with my boyfriend (the “stage manager”). He’s not a fan either but I bet he will be mesmerized too!
Oh. Now I think I’m gonna have the thriller nightmare

I’m going to confess something that really embarassing for someone who claims to be a big fan of Mew. LOL.
I’ve heard their track “New Terrain” from the new album, like milllion times.. and I always think the song sounds like being played backward. You know, in the cassette era, you can reverse the tape and when you play it, it sounds like some satanic song? Lol. So I thought, Mew, who always been a genius, once again make a genius song that sounds like a song in reverse.
And I just found out that IT IS a reverse song. If you play it backward, you can hear another song! With another lyric! A hidden track calls “Nervous”. OMG isn’t it the most incredible thing ever??
I installed a plugin for winamp to play a song backward here and played it. I still prefer New Terrain, but maybe that because I’ve heard it many times before.
And right now I’m playing every song in my playlist backward hahahaha. My current fave is Mum – Green Grass of Tunnel. So lovely, it’s like hearing angel sings!

The very first issue of Twin Magazine (who claim themselves as “closer to a book than a magazine”). And I love how they declare “TWIN loves creative women but does not worship empty celebrity”. Pretty impressive huh? let’s just hope they keep their idealism after few issues.
And here it is, my darling Freja. Photography by Boo George. (Source)
